The small schools Section Tournaments have been seeded.  The top two classes will wait until this weekend to seed their tournaments.

Section 1A and 1AA seed all the way through meaning there are no subsections. In Class 1A Faribault Bethlehem Academy received a #6 seed and open at home against Lanesboro on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.

If the Cardinals advance they would play Halloween night at the Rochester Mayo Civic Center at 7:30 p.m.

The #2 seed Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights will start their second season against either #15 seed Blooming Prairie or #18 seed Glenville-Emmons.  Those two teams play in The Garden in Blooming Prairie Monday, October 23, 2023 to determine K-W's opponent Thursday.

The other first round match Monday on that side of the bracket has #14 seed Wabasha-Kellogg hosting #19 Lyle-Pacelli with the winner going to #3 seed Fillmore Central on Thursday.

#7 seed Rushford-Peterson takes on #10 Grand Meadow in the other second round match on that side of the bracket Thursday.

Top seed Mabel-Canton is the defending Section Champion and will host either #16 seed Kingsland or #17 Houston on Thursday, October 26, 2023.

The other first round match is #20 seed Schaeffer Academy at #13 Southland on Monday, September 23, 2023 with the winner going to #4 Southland on Thursday.

#5 seed Alden-Conger has #12 Hayfield come to their gym.  The otherTuesday match is #9 Goodhue at #8 Leroy-Ostrander.

Quarterfinals are Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in Rochester's Mayo Civic Center.

Semi-finals are scheduled for 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in Rochester at the Mayl Civic Center.

Section 1AA Chatfield is top seed and hosts #16 St. Charles on Thursday, October 26, 2023.  #2 Caledonia has #15 Rochester Lourdes coming to their gym

#3 Zumbrota-Mazeppa hosts #14 Lake City while #6 Plainview-Elgimn-Millville entertains #11 Lewiston-Altura.  The other match on that side of the bracket has #10 Cotter going to #7 LaCrescent.

#4 seed, defending Section and State Champions Cannon Falls begins defense of their title when #13 Dover-Eyota invades the Bombers Hangar Thursday, October 26, 2023.

#5 seed Pine Island entertains #12 Triton while #9 Randolph goes to #8 Medford.

Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Heach Coach Crystal Lamont told KDHL this is the final year of the Section 2AA Subsections. Next year they are seeding all the way through like Section 1 does.

The Buccaneers are the #1 seed in the south and will play Blue Earth Area on Monday, October 23, 2023.  The Bucs of Blue Earth are #8 seed and defeated #9 seed St. Clair Thursday night to set up the match at 7:00 p.m. Monday.

#2 seed Belle Plaine faces #7 Sibley East Monday.  #8 seed LeSueur-Henderson fell Thursday in a 5-set thriller to Norwood-Young America. The winner  plays at top seed in the north Southwest Christian.

Other north matches includes #3 seed Glencoe-Silver Lake hosting #6 Jordan.  #4 seed Holy Family Catholic entertains #5 Tri-City United.

#2 Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial hosts #7 Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton.  #3 Waseca has #6 Minnesota Valley Lutheran invade the Bluejays gym.

#5 Maple River goes to #4 New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva.

Section 2A  action Thursday saw #7 seed Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City sweep #10 seed New Century Academy while #7 seed in south Springfield defeated Mountain Lake Area-Comfrey in four sets.
