ZIMMERMAN (WJON News) -- The Sherburne County Sheriff's Office has released more details about the abduction of a Zimmerman girl on Wednesday afternoon.

Twenty-eight-year-old Joseph Bragg allegedly abducted the seven-year-old around 4:00 p.m. after she got off the bus bringing her home from school.

Sherburne County Dispatch received a call reporting the girl missing at about 6:30 p.m.

A community notification was issued at about 9:45 p.m. describing a black car following the school bus. Investigators eventually ruled out any involvement of a black vehicle.

An Amber Alert was issued at 11:40 p.m. after information was developed that she likely had been abducted.

Through investigation and use of technology, investigators identified a white Dodge Ram pickup as a suspect vehicle and issued an emergency alert to law enforcement agencies just after 12:30 a.m.

At 1:00 a.m., Freeborn County sent a message that they were out with the suspect vehicle and that the girl was safe.
