
Update: Man Found Dead at Steele County Fair Identified, Death Described as “Unfortunate Medical Event”
Owatonna, MN (KROC-AM News)- More information has been released regarding a death at the Steele County Free Fair.

Activities at a busy venue on the fairgrounds in Owatonna were disrupted by the death investigation on Wednesday.
A statement issued on Wednesday by the Steele County Sheriff's Office says a deceased individual was found near a vendor booth at the Four Seasons Centre, which is located on the western side of the county fairgrounds.

On Thursday, the Steele County Sheriff’s Office identified the deceased individual as 66-year-old Dean Vincent Longo of Tucson, Arizona.

Authorities have determined his death to be from natural causes, a statement posted to the Steele County Free Fair’s Facebook page says.
Family and Law Enforcement Declines Autopsy
Longo’s family and investigators have determined that an autopsy will not be needed, according to the statement.
“Our thoughts and condolences to the Longo family during this difficult time,” the Steele County Free Fair Facebook post says.
The Steele County Free Fair runs through Sunday.
