
Crash Near Zumbrota Sends Rochester Woman to Hospital
Zumbrota, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester woman was injured in a crash that occurred Saturday evening near Zumbrota.
The State Patrol says the two-vehicle collision was reported around 7:45 p.m. along southbound Highway 52 near the intersection with 440th Street, just north of Zumbrota. The crash report indicates the collision occurred when a car entering the highway struck another vehicle that was in the left-turn lane.
The injured Rochester woman was the driver of the vehicle in the left-turn lane. She was identified as 29-year-old Wing Sum Vincy Tam. The State Patrol reported she was transported by ambulance to St. Marys Hospital with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.
Her passenger, a 33-year-old Rochester woman, and the occupants of the other vehicle were not injured. The driver of the other car was identified as 76-year-old Mark Steneman of Plainview.

The State Patrol crash report indicates all four occupants of the two vehicles were wearing seat belts and alcohol was not involved. Snow and ice were observed on the roadway at the time of the crash.
