
Man Killed in Rochester Shooting, Police Search for Suspect
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester police are investigating an apparent homicide.
Rochester Police Responded to Reported Shooting
Police Department Communications Coordinator Amanda Grayson earlier issued a statement indicating a shooting had occurred in the area of Essex Park and urged the public to stay away from the area due to the active investigation. An updated statement was issued Thursday evening indicating the shooting occurred around 5:15 PM in the 900 block of 41st Street Northwest.
Victim Has Died From His Injuries
Grayson says a man was shot outside an apartment building at that location. The victim, a 31-year-old man, later died from his injuries. His name has not been released.

Suspect Remains at Large
The news release says a preliminary investigation found the shooting was not random. While the suspect has not been located, police are indicating there is no known threat to the general public.
The investigation is ongoing and police are actively pursuing leads in the case.
