Hundreds of Crashes and Heavy Snow Bring End to Minnesota's "False Spring"
Undated (KROC-AM News)- The ending of Minnesota's "False Spring” resulted in hundreds of crashes on the state’s roads on Wednesday.

A large winter storm caused travel to deteriorate across Minnesota. Officials advised against travel on many of the major roadways in southwestern Minnesota.
Blizzard conditions walloped northeastern Minnesota, bringing blizzard warnings and more than three feet of snow to one community.
State Patrol Responds to Over 400 Crashes Wednesday
The State Patrol says its troopers responded to 409 crashes statewide between midnight and 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
25 of those crashes involved injuries. No fatalities have been reported.
316 vehicles went off the road and 17 spun out. The State Patrol also says troopers responded to 22 jack-knifed semis.
Minnesota North Shore Communities Report Impressive Snowfall Totals
The National Weather Service took the report of 38.6 inches of snowfall in the north shore community of Hovland. 24.2 inches of snow was reported in Lutsen.
7.6 inches of snow was reported at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. 0.7 inches of snow was reported in Rochester.
More snow is in the forecast for Thursday night, however the heaviest accumulations are predicted to hit northeast Iowa and southwest Wisconsin.
The National Weather Service is predicting between a trace to an inch of snow for Rochester.
