
Young Minnesota Man Identified as Victim of Fatal Avalanche
Clark County ID, (MinnesotaNow)- A young southern Minnesota man lost his life in an avalanche in Idaho over the weekend.

Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center reported a fatal avalanche on Sunday involving snowmobilers.
Idaho authorities said the avalanche occurred around 2:20 MT Sunday afternoon.

21-Year-Old Southern Minnesotan Killed in Idaho Avalanche
The avalanche occurred in the Centennial Mountains in Clark County, which is in the eastern part of the state, about 90 miles west of Yellowstone National Park.
Officials said a group of four snowmobilers were in the path of the avalanche, which was described by local authorities as a foot deep and 50 meters wide.
First responders were able to rescue three of the snowmobilers. A fourth was pronounced dead.
East Idaho News is reporting the victim of the fatal avalanche was identified as 21-year-old Landon Fox of Amboy, MN.
Authorities said Fox’s sled became stuck and that the avalanche started when another member of the group came down from the top of the hill to aid Fox.
