That’s according to data published by the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN).
"This incredible milestone is only made possible by the generosity of our donors and donor families, the resilience of our transplant recipients, and the unwavering dedication of our transplant care teams," Julie Heimbach, M.D., transplant surgeon and director of Mayo Clinic Transplant in Rochester said.
Mayo Clinic Performed Over 2,000 Organ Transplants in 2025
In 2025, Mayo Clinic performed a combined 2,065 organ transplants at its locations in Minnesota, Arizona and Florida.
The new total surpasses the previous record of 2,006, which was set in 2024, a Mayo Clinic news release says.

“This number represents new beginnings full of hope for so many," Heimbach said.
The news release says new research, technology and innovation helped to create advancements in transplantation.
Despite completing the most organ transplants in its more than 160-year history, Mayo Clinic says the wait list for organ transplants remains “daunting.” The list is more than 109,000 names long, according to OPTN data.
“Through collaboration across Mayo Clinic teams, investing in new technologies, and continued research, we are working toward a future where we can expand access and help more patients receive lifesaving transplants when they need them most," said Heimbach.
