Authorities responded to the scene shortly after 8:30 a.m. Law enforcement learned a man had confronted a neighbor with a firearm before returning to his nearby home, the news release says.

Authorities sent a shelter-in-place order to phones in the immediate area and tried to make contact with the residents inside of the suspect’s home.

Eventually law enforcement entered the home and found a man and woman dead inside. The news release does not say if the man found dead was the armed suspect.

A cause of death is not available and names of the man and woman have not been released. Authorities say there is not threat to public safety.

The death investigation remains ongoing.
