
Overturned Semi Closes Stretch of I-35 in Southern Minnesota

Faribault, MN (KROC-AM News)- A stretch of Interstate 35 is closed near Faribault due to an overturned semi truck.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) says the closure only applies to the southbound lanes.
Officials are asking motorists to slow down, be alert and watch for emergency responders.
Southbound I-35 Closed Near Faribault Due to Overturned Semi
Traffic camera footage indicates the overturned semi is on the southern edge of the 150th St. overpass, which is about seven miles north of Faribault.
MnDOT indicates the incident occurred shortly before noon on Thursday. An image of the semi shows the large vehicle laying on its driver’s side. The cab is in the western ditch.
No word yet if any injuries were reported.
Southbound I-35 Detour in Place Due to Overturned Semi
Southbound I-35 traffic is being routed off the interstate at the Millersburg Blvd. interchange.
Motorists are being allowed to rejoin I-35 at the Lyndale Ave. North interchange in Faribault.
MnDOT anticipates the detour to be in place until about 3:00 Thursday afternoon.
