Year three of the project will see the completion of a flyover ramp, new westbound overpass and new on and off ramps at the busy interchange.

Starting April 1, the westbound I-90 bridge will close, the ramps connecting Hwy. 52 with westbound I-90 will close.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) also says I-90 traffic through the interchange will be single lane in each direction. I-90 motorists will use the recently-completed eastbound bridge to cross Hwy. 52.

Hwy. 52 will be closed in both directions. Southbound Hwy. 52 motorists seeking I-90 will be routed to the interstate via Hwy. 63.

Hwy. 52 motorists traveling to and from locations south of I-90 will be sent to the Eyota interchange then onto County Rd. 7. I-90 motorists seeking southbound Hwy. 52 will also use the Eyota interchange.

Access to northbound Hwy. 52 from westbound I-90 will be maintained, MnDOT indicates.

MnDOT also says there will be additional, short term closures on Hwy. 52 as crews build the new I-90 westbound overpass. Those closures will be announced in advance, MnDOT says.
