Update: State Patrol ID's 40-Year-Old Owatonna Woman Killed in I-35 Crash 

Owatonna, MN (KROC-AM News)- At least one person was killed in a crash on Interstate 35 in southern Minnesota

Preliminary information released by the State Patrol indicates two vehicles were involved in the fatality. 

The drivers were the only occupants of the vehicles. First responders were dispatched to the deadly collision shortly before 8:00 Wednesday evening.

Two Drivers Involved in Fatal Crash on I-35 Near Owatonna

The fatal crash occurred about 10 miles south of Owatonna. A car and pickup collided as they were traveling north on the interstate, according to the state crash report

A 40-year-old Owatonna woman was driving the car and the pickup was driven by a 33-year-old man from Ellendale, the State Patrol says.

The death toll of the crash is not yet available. 

More Information Set to be Released Thursday Afternoon

The Steele County Sheriff’s Office and Owatonna Fire Department also responded to the crash. 

The State Patrol plans to release the names of the drivers and more information about the deadly crash early Thursday afternoon.
