St. Patrick’s Day Guide for Central Minnesota – Everyone is Irish!
It's almost that time again, the time of year when everyone is Irish and there is green beer flowing. There is also a plethora of fun apparel with funny sayings on them, and many definitely NSFW. But we all still laugh at the inappropriateness.

St. Patrick's Day is March 17th, and this year it falls on a Tuesday, so most of the celebrations will be the 14th - the Saturday before. In some cases, the party will extend into the actual St. Patrick's Day for a multi-day event. Especially if you are an Irish pub/grill.
Here is a guide from Visit Greater St. Cloud
- Celebrate with the whole family at the Pot O' Gold 5K/1K/2 mile race
- Catch the parade and live music at Pearl Lake Lodge's annual party
- Grab your friends and join the St. Patty's Pub Crawl in St. Joe. Start at any of the participating bars. Head back to the La for horse races and Smokin' Guns taking the stage at 8pm!
- Get together with friends for an unforgettable Irish dinner at Olde Brick House!
- And it's always a good time at Jimmy's Pour House in Sauk Rapids!
There are probably many more celebrations around the state and in neighboring states that you can attend if you want to travel a bit.
If you want to get a bit of exercise before any sort of "celebration" then get on board with the Pot O' Gold 5K. There is an event for everyone in the family.
Pearl Lake Lodge annual party and parade is the 14th. I'm just going to strongly suggest that you designate a driver for this one. If you know what I mean
The St. Patrick's Day pub crawl in St. Joe happens on Saturday the 14th, beginning at noon and going until 5pm. But the La does open at 10am. The destinations include the 5 bars in St. Joe; the La Playette, Bad Habit, The Middy, the Legion and Sals. There are prizes and more details coming as the date gets closer.
Olde Brick House in St. Cloud will also have an event with lots of music and food specials.
More events will be announced as we get closer - right now we are about a month out.
