Popular Restaurant Abruptly Closed Most Minnesota Locations

This isn't something anyone really wants to hear at any time.  We have been experiencing closures in the hospitality industry since the pandemic.  Some places just couldn't dig themselves out of the hole that was created by that unfortunate world-wide situation.

Not all of those casualties happened right away, however.  And we are still seeing closures in recent years.  It's not been stated if these closures are still a reprocussion of the pandemic shut-downs or not.

THIS RESTAURANT SEEMS LIKE A FAVORITE AROUND THE AREA

Over the years, we have asked the question of our listeners "what restaurant would you like to see in the St. Cloud and surrounding areas".  And time and again, one of the most popular answers is Denny's.  For some reason, people really want a Denny's here in the area.  But as of now, doesn't look like that is happening now or maybe ever.

THEY CLOSED FIVE LOCATIONS RATHER ABRUPTLY - 1 DAY NOTICE

On the 3rd of this month, there was a notice that went out stating that several of the locations around Minnesota were closing, and employee's last day was basically "right now".  There were several Denny's locations that were affected by this closure in both Minnesota and Wisconsin.

THIS IS THE PARTIAL STATEMENT GIVEN BY DENNY'S PARENT COMPANY

M15 Inc.’s notice said it borrowed “substantial amounts of money” over the past year and no longer had the revenue and cash needed to operate the restaurants amid collection activity from lenders. “Consequently, the company can no longer meet payroll, purchase necessary food and supplies, or continue operating responsibly,” the notice states.

These are the four locations that have closed in Minnesota.

• 12950 Aldrich Ave S, Burnsville, MN 55337
• 2045 Twin Lakes Pkwy, Roseville, MN 55113
• 38681 Tanger Dr, North Branch, MN 55056

There are still several that are open here in Minnesota, with the closest one to St. Cloud being in Otsego.

The employees that worked at the locations that did close are being advised to seek unemploymet benefits.  Question is this - why wouldn't they just transfer them if possible, and if the employee would want to do that.  Employed seems better than unemployed.
