The Minnesota State Capitol has received its Christmas tree. The tree, which comes from a farm in Litchfield, Turcks Trees. The tree was delivered today to St. Paul, and the journey from harvest to Capitol was captured in photos on social media.

A First For The Litchfield Farm

According to a social media post from the business, this is the first time that the Litchfield farm has supplied the Minnesota Capitol with a tree. The tree, which is a balsam fir, will sit in the Capitol Rotunda during the holiday season.

The tree itself was harvested on Monday and was delivered on Tuesday, with plans to have it up and decorated in the Rotunda for after Thanksgiving.

The tree, which was named grand champion at the Minnesota State Fair this year, stands more than 15 feet high, and according to WCCO, is about 20 years old.

Last year, the Turck's Tree Farm's Christmas tree that was shown at the state fair came in 2nd place and was displayed at the Governor's Mansion.

Beautiful Photos From Clemens Gardens

This weekend was a great one to get out and do something fun. I wanted to destress, so I drove over to Clemens Gardens for a nice stroll through the gardens. What a beautiful place it is. There are flowers everywhere, as well as fountains and statues. These photos only capture part of what's available to see, but in case you haven't had a chance to visit, now is a great time to view them, as everything is in full bloom. Take a look at some beautiful photos and then make a plan to take your own trip. All of your senses will thank you.
