A popular comedian stopped for lunch at the often controversial 'home' of the Juicy Lucy yesterday afternoon, with the bar sharing a photo today. It's unknown if the comedian was aware of the controversy surrounding his lunchtime stop, but chances are good he enjoyed one of their signature burgers.

Chappelle's Shows At Grand Casino Arena & Varsity Theater

Dave Chappelle was in Minnesota yesterday for his somewhat impromptu show, which he announced two weeks ago at Grand Casino Arena, as well as another show he announced late last week in Minneapolis at the Varsity, performing on both sides of the Mississippi over the course of 48 hours.

The online reviews for the shows were positive, and it seems that before both shows, Dave was out and about enjoying some uniquely Minnesota things like the Juicy Lucy.

Matt's Bar in Minneapolis was his lunch destination on Monday, and the bar shared proof on social media.

It's unclear if Chappelle had a Juicy Lucy for lunch at Matt's or if he was aware of the controversy behind the founding claim of the famed burger stuffed with cheese, leaving patrons with a gooey trail of cheese after biting into their burger at either Matt's or The 5-8 Club.

Chappelle Also Visited The Alex Pretti Memorial In Minneapolis

On top of stopping for some of the more 'must-see/try' Minnesota things, Dave also visited the Alex Pretti memorial in Minneapolis, leaving behind flowers and taking a moment of silent reflection.
