If there’s one thing Central Minnesotans can agree on, it’s the love of a great bakery.

Whether it’s the smell of fresh bread in the morning, a warm cinnamon roll on a cold day, or a beautifully decorated cake for a special celebration, our local bakeries play a sweet role in everyday life.

Now it’s time to recognize the best of the best. The Minnesota’s Best voting is underway, and the Best Bakery in Central Minnesota category is filled with some incredible local favorites. From small, family-owned shops to well-known community staples, this category highlights the places that keep our dessert tables full and our coffee breaks a little sweeter.

    Maybe you have a go-to spot for birthday cakes, or perhaps there’s a bakery you stop at every weekend for fresh donuts or a loaf of bread. This is your chance to show them some love and help them earn the title of Central Minnesota’s Best Bakery.

    You can vote once a day in each category now through February 25th, 2026. It only takes a moment, but your vote could help your favorite bakery earn statewide recognition.

    Winners will be announced in Minnesota’s Best Winners Magazine, appearing in the Star Tribune on June 28th, and will also be featured online at MinnesotasBest.com.

    This weekend was a great one to get out and do something fun. I wanted to destress, so I drove over to Clemens Gardens for a nice stroll through the gardens. What a beautiful place it is. There are flowers everywhere, as well as fountains and statues. These photos only capture part of what's available to see, but in case you haven't had a chance to visit, now is a great time to view them, as everything is in full bloom. Take a look at some beautiful photos and then make a plan to take your own trip. All of your senses will thank you.
