Just when you think they could not pack any more shows into their season, Minnesota's newest venue keeps dropping major concert announcements. The latest is a band that was just in the Twin Cities last fall.

Despite their October 2025 show, it does not seem like ticket sales will be an issue for this upcoming concert. Mumford & Sons have built a loyal following in Minnesota over the years. The band clearly loves playing here, and fans across the state continue to show up in a big way.

Mumford & Sons recently released their sixth studio album, Prizefighter, and they are hitting the road on a new tour that will stop at the brand new Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee on July 31. The outdoor venue has quickly become one of the busiest new stages in Minnesota, drawing major national acts throughout the summer season.

A Long History With Minnesota Fans

The band has been playing in Minnesota for years. During a 2013 concert at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, they joked about having just 12 people at their first Minnesota show back in 2008. That same night, they had the crowd chanting “quack, quack, quack,” a playful nod to The Mighty Ducks franchise, which is based in Minnesota.

Medium Build Opens The Minnesota Show

Medium Build will open the Shakopee concert. He has a memorable story about first meeting Mumford & Sons while working at a Whole Foods in Atlanta in 2010. He said hello to the band and later attended their show that same night.

“That was the last time me and the sons were ever in the same room,” he said. “But now 16 years later we can try that Whole Foods meet up one more time.”

How To Get Tickets

Tickets go on presale starting at 10 AM on February 25 by signing up for Live Nation All Access. General ticket sales open Friday, February 27.

For Minnesota fans who just saw them in the Twin Cities a few months ago, the quick return proves one thing. Mumford & Sons cannot seem to stay away from this state.
