Minnesota Native Returns To Hit Show After Leave Of Absence

He's back! And I know I am not alone when I say I missed him. Patrick John Flueger is back in the public eye for the first time in awhile and he seems to be doing great.

The actor is known for his role as Adam Ruzek on Chicago P.D. He has played the cop on the show since 2014, which is a huge deal on any show and in Hollywood in general. He's been in more than 200 episodes.

In case you didn't know, the actor hails from Red Wing, which is a fun connection. He comes home often, sharing photos from his time in the small town.

Now, it appears we have some good news about the star and it looks like he will be back on our television screens before we know it!

Patrick John Flueger Takes Hiatus From Hit NBC Show

The show, which airs on NBC, suffered a big but temporary blow when the actor had to take an abrupt leave of absence in October. At the time, outlets reported that this was not a planned absence and writers were making tweaks to write him out of the show for a bit.

The actor himself did not say why he was taking the leave of absence but it was due to a personal matter. In November, his onscreen hiatus began, with the star notably absent from the show without much explanation as to where his character was. We'll find out soon, I'm sure.

Patrick John Flueger Spotted Back On Set Of Chicago P.D. 

It appears that his leave of absence is over. He doesn't post much but his costars do, with one of them sharing a story to Instagram of the cast and crew singing him happy birthday! He was also given a cake and he can be seen with a huge smile.

It appeared to be a new video, which means he is officially back on set. TV Insider confirmed the news as well, sharing that he was back in action on the hit show, meaning his leave of absence is over.

I am a few seasons behind on the show but can't wait to catch up. I am glad he appears to be happy and healthy and I can't wait to have him back onscreen!
