Large Study Of Medicinal Marijuana Shows Cancer Patient Benefits

The Minnesota Office of Cannabis Management (OCM), says that cancer patients enrolled in Minnesota's medical cannabis program found significant relief. It's one of the largest studies of cancer patients and medical cannabis treatment.

They studied 6,621 patients enrolled in Minnesota's medical cannabis program between 2015 and 2023. Nearly half of all the patients with moderate to severe vomiting saw an improvement within four months.

38.2% of patients suffering from a lack of appetite also saw improvements.

Besides the physical benefits shown in the study, it also helped reduce anxiety and depression in patients. About 30% of cancer patients with moderate to severe pain also experienced improvements in symptoms as well.
