Great Midwest Rib Fest Announces Free Concert Line Up At Mystic Lake
Ribs and live music? Sign me up! The Great Midewst Rib Fest is happening June 25-27, and features a free outdoor concert each night. The festival celebrates award-winning barbecue and live music, and the concerts are free with your festival admission.
The Great Midwest Rib Fest
The Great Midewst Rib Fest starts Thursday, June 25th, at 4 PM. The event goes until 10 PM each night. It's located at the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake, Minnesota.
Performers Announced
Thursday, Drew Holcom and the Neighbors open for headliner Old Crow Medicine Show.
Friday, country star and American Idol Alum Gabby Barrett opens the concert.
Then, headliner Parmalee closes out Friday's free concert.
Saturday, June 27th, the Great Midwest Rib Fest holds its rib eating contest at 4 PM. Following the record attempt (more on that below), the live music features The Suburbs as the opening act.

Headliner Rick Springfield has been announced as the headliner for the outdoor concert series.
All About The Ribs
It's free admission to get in, and attendees can purchase ribs and vote for the "Best Of The Fest" people's choice award. Pitmasters from 10 different award-winning barbecue joints will be serving ribs during the festival. Drinks, sides, and desserts will also be available for purchase.
A panel of chefs and media personalities will judge the ribs and sauces. Awards will be handed out on Saturday Afternoon.
