Register Now For A Beautiful Full Moon Hike In Northern Minnesota
During the year 2026, there will be 13 full moons, including a rare monthly blue moon in May. The first supermoon, when the moon appears larger and brighter, occurred in January, and there are two more to come, one in November and one in December.
The next full moon on the calendar is scheduled for Wednesday, April 1. That'll be a Full Pink Moon, which serves as a seasonal marker for early spring. Despite the name, the moon will not actually turn pink.
The Full Pink Moon is reportedly named after Phlox subulata (moss phlox), a pink wildflower that blooms in North America during this time
It's always cool to witness a full moon, and for people in Northern Minnesota, there's a cool opportunity to join other community members to enjoy a little hike and see that Full Pink Moon together.
