The Duluth Police Department issued a statement regarding a recent arrest and drug bust. The arrest took place on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, in Duluth's Lincoln Park neighborhood.

The Lake Superior Violent Offender Task Force, along with the Duluth Police Department and St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, executed a search warrant in the 2000 block of West 2nd Street.

During the search, 3 firearms were found along with various drugs. Those include 60 grams of fentanyl - enough to cause tens of thousands of deaths. $1,748 dollars was seized, along with other evidence of narcotic sales.

20-year-old Kmauri Burnett was also arrested without incident. Burnett is wanted for two murders and a carjacking in Atlanta. He has been on the Atlanta Police Department's most wanted list since October.

Burnett is wanted for a 2021 deadly shooting at a hookah bar. He is also wanted for a carjacking that killed Army veteran Korri Jackson in 2023. The veteran was sleeping in his van between his two jobs when several people approached the van and shot and killed him.

Atlanta Police arrested John'kevious Anderson and charged him with murder, according to Fox5atlanta. Kmauri Burnett and Rodreiko Russell were also named as suspects on placed on the most wanted list.
