Maybe is it just the 'Minnesota' effect? A FOX show set in Minnesota has been renewed for another season, a huge accomplishment by any measure but especially in the television landscape today.

You might be surprised to know that Minnesota being even a small part of a television show is nothing new. In fact, one of the earliest episodes of Law & Order even threw some shade at Duluth.

This has happened several other times as well. In fact, Law & Order: SVU even had a big Minnesota-related fail once. (It didn't matter though. The star of the show was later spotted in a Minnesota shirt!)

All of this to say, we may be a long way from Hollywood but we still get a little time to shine in the spotlight. A new show on FOX has made that spotlight a little brighter - and now it's been renewed yet again!

'Doc' Renewed For Another Season On FOX

This feels good! The show has officially been given the green light for a third season. This isn't a huge surprise, considering it has been a pretty popular show right out of the gate. The renewal includes twenty-two new episodes for the season.

Why is this so important for us here in the Land Of 10,000 Lakes? Because the show is set in Minnesota! They don't film here but they use their Hollywood magic to set the show in Minneapolis at a fictional hospital.

The show is based off an Italian show of the same premise. It follows a doctor who loses her memory from a car accident and has to rebuild her life from the ground up. As with any television show about a hospital, drama ensues.

Upon its first episode ever, the show gave the network its biggest series debut in five years, which is huge. It's been fun to have a show about Minnesota on television and seeing all the different ways they shout us out.

There was even a shoutout in one episode to a former Duluth business, so they are doing their homework. I have to add this one to my list!
