Club One Under Bringing Tiki Vibes To Duluth This Spring

I can NOT wait for this. This is going to be amazing: a Duluth business is expanding, opening a new tiki bar in the area very soon. I saw the news on social media and reached out because I instantly had to know more.

I was on Facebook the other day when I saw that Club One Under shared they were embarking on this new project. It was just the news we needed after the nice snowstorm we saw earlier this week.

A tiki bar is not the most common type of bar in the Northland and that is what makes this concept so much fun! The spot will have handcrafted cocktails, great views of Lake Superior and a space to hold events.

In fact, even though the space isn't open yet, you can start booking the venue for big events right now. (Note that this is a rendering of the space for what they are aiming for when it does open in just a few months. The design has not been finalized yet.)

Club One Under Opening 'The Rooftop Tiki Bar' Later This Year

As of now, the spot is aiming to open in mid-May. However, we all know that the weather plays a big role in things so this could shift slightly! Why a tiki bar in Duluth? Mike Locker told me that they wanted to create a place that feels like a mini escape right here in Duluth, which we definitely could use, and will also bring a little unexpected, playful vibe to Duluth.

Of course, the tiki concept screams vacation and this bar will play into that with a relaxing and fun vibe, live music and a great backdrop. This will be an extension of Club One Under, which is located in the Fitger's complex.

They will also offer drinks with 'a local feel' like the Superior Spritz, the Harbor Heatwave, Lift Bridge Limeade and more. These drinks are currently a work in progress and all sound delicious.

The spot will be seasonal, which is perfect because we need to soak in all the sunshine we can get before winter hits. Stay tuned for an exact opening date - I think I will be the first one through the door!
