Holiday Tour “Jingle Ball” is Not Coming to Minnesota This Year
Okay, first Summer Jam and Rock the Garden, now the Holiday tour Jingle Ball may be occurring this year but it is not coming back to Minnesota!
Bring Me The News has an article announcing the news, and it is very sad to hear. It was stated in the article that “the 101.3 KDWB Jingle Ball has been held in the Twin Cities every year since the holiday show went nationwide in 2000, with the exception of 2020 when it was canceled due to COVID-19.”
Now the Holiday tour will be going to 11 cities in the U.S, but Minneapolis is not one of them. After looking back I noticed that 2018’s Jingle Ball featured 12 cities, which Minneapolis was one of them, but I guess not this year.
Bring Me The News also stated that “The Xcel Energy Center has hosted Jingle Ball each year from 2012 to 2019 and again in 2021. Prior to 2012, the concert was mostly held at Target Center, with some shows at the Xcel.”
What is strange is that there has been no announcement or acknowledgment as to why Minneapolis is not a stop on the tour from iHeartMedia. In addition, “KDWB shared a link to the nationwide tour on its social media pages on Friday, but didn't acknowledge the absence of a Twin Cities tour stop,” explains bringmethenews.com.
This year’s lineup includes artists such as Dua Lipa, Lizzo, Charlie Puth, Backstreet Boys, The Kid LAROI, AJR, Ava Max, Demi Lovato, Dove Cameron, Lauv, and Jax (according to ihearmedia.com). Unfortunately, no country music artist (that we know of yet).
