This Thursday you can help out children and enjoy a Dairy Queen treat. Each year, participating Dairy Queens take part in a fundraiser to raise money and awareness of the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. According to the MiracleTreatDay.com website, on Thursday, July 27, local Dairy Queens, including both stores in Faribault along with Owatonna, Northfield, Waseca, Cannon Falls, New Prague, Farmington, Lakeville and Janesville will participate.

For every Blizzard sold, Dairy Queen will donate at least $1 to the Miracle Network Hospitals in our area. The Children's Miracle Network Hospitals website states that it "raises funds and awareness for 170 member hospitals that provide 32 million treatments each year to kids across the U.S. and Canada. Donations stay local to fund critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care." Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals provide care to over 10 million children each year with 62 children entering a CMN Hospital every minute, every day.

Do your part on Thursday (7/27) and head to your nearest DQ for a Blizzard. Your tummy will feel happy, and so will your heart and mind.
