St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - Governor Tim Walz today named Natalie Martinez as the successor to retiring Olmsted County Judge Kevin Lund.

Once she is officially sworn in, Martines will be chambered at the Mower County Courthouse in Austin.

“Ms. Martinez’s deep understanding of the needs of her community and strong legal acumen will serve Mower County well for years to come,” said Governor Walz. “Her unique background and perspective, combined with her wide breadth of legal experience, will make her a tremendous asset to the bench.”

Martines is currently an associate attorney at Donnelly Law Office in Austin. She also serves as a part-time public defender in Freeborn County and as a conciliation court referee in Mower County. She is a graduate of the Hamlin University School of Law.
