The Goodhue County Fair in Zumbrota is having some birthday goodies Thursday because they say many people (especially kids) never had a party due to COVID last year.

From 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Birthday Party Hats will be handed out and an Agricultural Scavenger Hunt will happen with prizes awarded in The Kids Zone.

At 5:00 p.m. in the Beer Garden Birthday Cake/Cupcakes will be enjoyed.

Goodhue County Commissioners meet under the tent beginning 10:00 a.m.

There will be a antique tractor display from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Free entertainment includes multiple All-American Lumberjack, Just 4 Laffs shows. The Goodhue County Historical Society will have another Jeopardy style game in the Schoolhouse at Noon.

Also in the Schoolhouse 2:00 p.m. Kite Building, 3:00 p.m. Mississippi River Trivia, 4:00 p.m. Art Project.

Bridget's Decorated Cupcake Contest judging takes place 4:00 p.m.  4-H Meat Goat Show is 5:00 p.m. in the Show Arena.

6:00 p.m. 4-H Dog Demonstration is outside the Dairy Barn.

The Beer Garden features music by Troy Aron Johnson at 7:00 p.m.  At 6:00 p.m. the Grandstand Event is a Truck Pull and Tractor Pull.

The Crescent City Amusements Carnival went up Wednesday and runs from 1:00 p.m. to closing each day through Saturday.

Friday there is AutoCross at 7:00 p.m. during Senior Citizen Day at the Goodhue County Fair.

Saturday is Final Fun Day with a Demolition Derby at 5:00 p.m.

The weather forecast is perfect for the fair.

Thursday at 9:00 a.m. officials are dedicating the new road that goes by the entrance to the Goodhue County Fair and the Zumbrota Livestock Auction across the road.  It has been widened with turn lanes put into place.

During Senior Citizens Day at 7:00 p.m. the Goodhue County Senior Citizen of the Year will be announced in the Beer Garden.  Ray Sands and the Polka Dots will be there beginning 5:00 p.m.

At 8:00 p.m. Friday night Troy Aron Johnson is on the Beer Garden Stage.  The Zumbrota Fire Department is serving in there this year.
