GLAX tripped up by Tigers
The Owatonna High School girls lacrosse team lost at Farmington 16-6 Friday night in the Section 1 semifinals, ending their season with an 11-4 record.
The top-seed and #5 ranked Tigers jumped out to the early lead. Each time the Huskies got a goal back, Farmington quickly responded with a goal - or two - of their own. OHS trailed 7-2 at the half.

The Huskies 11 wins is a school record.
Seniors for the Huskies:
- Payton Noble
- Toni Nelson
- Paige Radue
- Jordyn Williams
- Abby Sawyer

EXTRA NOTES
The game started thirty minutes late due to their bus breaking down on the trip up I-35. The bus pulled off the freeway at the Dundas exit and had to wait for a replacement bus to arrive.
The concession stand at Tigers Stadium shut down before halftime. Who shuts down the concession stand before halftime?!
Coach Bill Bernard double as a stretcher when Jordyn Williams suffered a leg injury. Bernard started to assist Williams off the field. When that was going too slowly, Williams jumped on Bernard's back and rode piggy-back off the field.
The lacrosse field (football field) at Farmington backs up to the high school. A large tiger mural looks out on the field and is lit up. It inspired at least one Husky fan to snap a picture.
