Brandon Noble, gambling manager and membership director for the Owatonna American Legion, was a guest on AM 1390's Talk of the Town. Their annual membership drive just kicked off. It runs July 1 through June 30, 2017. There are three types of membership. Legionnaires are veterans who served during a designated war time. Sons of Legionnaires consists of male relatives of veterans, and the Ladies Auxiliary, which consists of female relatives of veterans. Dues are $40 a year for Legionnaires and the other two groups have dues of $25 a year.

Membership peaked at 1,111 in the '90s. Current membership is now about 600.

The club is at 137 West Broadway in Owatonna. The club is open seven days a week at noon with a 10AM opening on Saturday.
