Four Guns Taken Outside of Minnesota High School Football Game
Coon Rapids, MN (KROC-AM News)- Police in Coon Rapids are reporting the recovery of four firearms from two vehicles at a high school football game.
A news release says a citizen reported a person in a group of young adults and juveniles had a gun after the group was denied entry into the homecoming football game. Police reportedly found a vehicle associated with the group in the parking lot at the football field and found three firearms.
The group then attempted to leave the area in a different vehicle but they were stopped by multiple squad cars. Police say officers recovered a fourth firearm.
The news release says two adult males and two juvenile males remain in custody. A fifth male was questioned and released. The football game was completed.
The group reportedly attempted to enter the football game but were turned away by Anoka-Hennepin staff and escorted off the premises by Coon Rapids police. Officials say none of the individuals involved in the incident were students at Coon Rapids or any other Anoka-Hennepin school.
