A new survey once again says the top-rated airport in North America can be found right here in Minnesota.

When you're traveling, there are few things more annoying than encountering a delay with your flight, thanks to issues at the airport, right? They can affect your connecting flights, mess up your plans, and just generally make things miserable, whether you're on vacation or flying for work.

Fortunately for us here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, for the second year in a row, an annual survey says you'll find the best airport in North America right here in the Bold North. That's right, Minnesota's own Minneapolis - St. Paul International Airport (MSP), n Bloomington, is the best on the continent, at least according to the latest ASQ Awards and Recognition survey.

ACI World’s annual ASQ Awards recognize 'airport excellence in customer experience worldwide based on data from ASQ’s renowned Departures and Arrivals Surveys,' ACI said. The 2022 awards were compiled from over 370,000 customer surveys conducted at airports in 91 countries.

And they found that, for airports serving 25 to 40 million passengers a year, you can't do better than our own MSP. It's quite an honor, especially considering that MSP also won the same honor last year as well.

MSP was also named Best in North America for four straight years between 2016 and 2019, and also earned a spot on the ACI Director General’s Roll of Excellence in Airport Service Quality in 2020, MSP noted in a release.

Brian Ryks, CEO of the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC), which operates MSP, was appreciative of the honor, according to a release:

For MSP to be recognized by our travelers as one of the best in the world year after year is a testament to our focus on providing exceptional airport experiences so Minnesota thrives.

The survey said MSP is the 16th busiest airport in North America and served 31.2 million passengers in 2022. That's a lot of passengers making their way to our fair state, right? So keep scrolling to see some of the most common things we native Minnesotans always have to explain to outsiders!
