Farmers’ Almanac: What To Expect This Winter In Minnesota
Remember last winter when more than five feet of snow fell in Rochester? Remember that awful Polar Vortex? After one of the worst winters ever you'd think we were due for a break this year, right?!? The Farmers' Almanac doesn't think Mother Nature will let up on us and we could be in for another brutal winter.
The publication just released their extended forecast for the winter of 2019/2020 and they say, "this winter will be filled with so many ups and downs on the thermometer, it may remind you of a “Polar Coaster.” Frigid and snowy conditions are expected this year and that nasty weather could extend all the way into April. The Farmers' Almanac is predicting a slow start to Spring.
On their website, the Farmers' Almanac describes their long-range forecasts as "amazingly accurate." I'm hoping they are way off this year!
