The Faribault Falcon girls 4 by 200 Medley Relay Team captured a state title last November and now their Coach Ken Hubert has been informed that they have achieved All-American status.  The medley consisted of freshman Verity-Wray Robolle, senior Bre Bresnahan, junior Gesa Wilden and senior Megan Gehrke.

Wilden was a foreign exchange student from Germany and placed 3rd in the 50 Free and 4th in the 100 Butterfly.  All-State in each.  The relay team set the FHS pool record with a time of 1:51.42 in September and captured the state title with a time of 1:45.69. At the time they were told it was good enough for All-American consideration.

Bresnahan finished 2nd in 2016 in the 100 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:05.60 and was 7th last November with a time of 1:06.34.  Still an All-State placement.

Gehrke was 10th in the 50 Free and 100 Free and placed 7th in both the previous State Meet.

Freshman Abby Larson was voted by the team members MVP after the season and was named the outstanding swimmer of the Section Meet.  Larson finished 10th in the 200 Yard Freestyle and the 500 Yard Freestyle last November and was 5th and 7th respectively the previous year.

The Faribault Falcon girls swimming and diving team were also Big Nine Conference Co-Champions last fall.
