Faribault Foundation to Have Unique Fundraiser in October
Kymn Anderson, Executive Director of the Faribault Foundation told us recently on our AM Minnesota program about an interesting fundraiser in October.
100 Women Who Care will be held Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at The Barn at Crocker's Creek 24141 Bagley Avenue Faribault.
Anderson stated, "It's a great place, a beautiful venue. We have high hopes of it being a beautiful fall day so the barn doors will be open and that'll help with any COVID fears too. We have a lot of outdoor seating and we're hoping people will enjoy the great outdoors there with the beautiful scenery."
Anderson explained how the fundraiser works. Only women can attend. " We are hoping for a hundred women. We're not quite there yet but we have quite a few who have registered to attend and sent in their RSVP. But if you're listening and you think you would like to come there's still room for you."
"Each of the 100 women contributes $100. That gives us $10,000 that day. Each woman who comes puts the name of their favorite non-profit into a drawing. Three finalists are selected. Those finalists can talk about their charity in an effort to get more people to vote for them when the finalists are voted on by those in attendance to receive half of the total raised."
The other half stays with the Faribault Foundation.
"Casual attire. Western wear admired, but not required" is what it states on a card with the information about the event.
Janna's Market is catering with beverges from Haskell's.
