The Faribault Falcons boys hockey team scored a 7-1 win over LaCrescent at the Faribault Ice Arena Saturday.  Seven different Falcons scored points as they outshot the Lancers 44-18.

Senior Jake Dolter was in net for Faribault, now 5-1 on the season.  Sophomore Zach Slinger scored the only goal of the first period at the 14:18 mark assisted by senior Leighton Weasler. Faribault had 17 shots on goal, LaCrescent 6.

Faribault added three more goals in the second period.  2:58 into the period junior Kory Johnson scored assisted by Slinger.  At 13:23, junior Zach Siegert had an unassisted power play goal followed 27 second later by a unassisted Weasler goal making it 4-0 Falcons after two periods.  Shots on goal in the period were 14-9 in favor of Faribault.

4:30 into the final period sophomore Grady Goodwin scored assisted by Johnson.  At 5:18 Siegert tallied a power play goal with an assist by senior Noah Murphy. 7:17 sophomore Keaton Ginter got the final score on an assist by Weasler.

LaCrescent scored at 15:29 of third period to spoil Dolter's shutout bid.  Third period shots were 13-3 in favor of the Falcons.

Faribault hosts Mankato West Tuesday.  LaCrescent (2-4-1) is home against Viroqua, Wisconsin.
