The Dubai based airline announced a new policy that helps "encourage" passengers to travel again. According to People, Emirates new guidelines include the covering of medical expenses, as well as funeral cost, for their passengers who catch COVID-19 on their travels. Passengers are automatically covered by this new policy when they purchase a ticket and it goes until October 31st. The coverage last 31 day after the conclusion of said passengers trip.

Under the directive of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Emirates is proud to lead the way in boosting confidence for international travel- Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Emirates Group CEO

In the press release sent out by Emirates, it states that they will pay up to $176,000 in medial expenses and cover up to $1,765 in approved funeral cost. Not only that, but if you would have to quarantine, the company will cover a $117 per diem.

We know people are yearning to fly as borders around the world gradually re-open, but they are seeking flexibility and assurances should something unforeseen happen during their travel

If more airline adopted this idea would you feel safe and comfortable flying?
