I'm thinking we are going to have to have a small town throwdown! In one corner, the home of the Morris Mart and Old Town Tavern, we have what has been dubbed the "best little town by a dam site" in Morristown, Minnesota! In the other corner, the home of Sweet Corn Days, held in the month of August, and who's welcome sign totes that it is the "best town by a dam site" Lime Springs, Iowa. So which one is really the best 'dam' city?

I'll give you the tale of the tape, and you be the judge! We will start with the opponent in our 'best dam' city showdown, Lime Springs, Iowa.

LIME SPRINGS

• Population: 473
• Town Festival: Sweet Corn Days (held the 2nd Sunday in August)
• Originally platted in 1857, and re-platted in 1867
• School District: Howard–Winneshiek Community School District
• Number of bars on Main Street: 2
• Popular Destination In Town: Historic Lidtke Mill/Museum

MORRISTOWN

• Population: 987
• Town Festival: Dam Days (held the first weekend after Memorial Day)
• Originally platted in 1855
• School District: Waterville-Elysian-Morristown School District
• Number of bars on Main Street: 2 (Archies is on Division)
• Popular Destination In Town: Babe Nordmeier Baseball Field
