We live in what some call the Frozen Tundra, and with that the weather can be brutal. Icy roads throughout Duluth and Minnesota are not our friend. A recent icy crash in Duluth was caught by MNDashCam.

Honestly, driving in the winter gives me the most anxiety I've ever experienced as mother nature can be relentless. You never know what's going to happen when ice begins to form on roads. Just a few months ago, an 11 car pileup on an icy Minnesota freeway was caught on camera.

I said it before, and I'll say it again: One bad patch of ice is all it takes sometimes. I remember my first car accident when I was 16 over Thanksgiving break. I hit a patch of ice on an exit ramp on the interstate and ran into the guardrail. Within a few seconds my car got hit by another as I ran out of my car. Within five minutes, it turned into a 15 car pileup and I still get nervous when I take the exit ramp, even in the summer as the flashback comes rushing back every time. The turtle always wins the race, so be cautious and drive low and slow.

On the same freeway I experienced my first accident, one driver had an unfortunate crash over the weekend. The incident happened going southbound on I-35 between 40th Avenue West and US 2.  MNDashCam shared the video on YouTube and you can check it out below:
