COVID-19: Positive Cases Top 23,000

St Paul (KROC AM News) - The state Health Department is reporting 600 more positive COVID-19 cases, increasing the overall total to 23,500.

Mower County reported 23 of the new cases, the largest daily increase of any county outside of the Twin Cities.

The department says 8600 tests were conducted Wednesday, raising the total to 234,000. 

There were 29 more deaths confirmed Wednesday. The state’s death toll is 996 with 600 of those from Hennepin County.
