Chet Anthony Macht, a shining light in the lives of those who knew him, was called home by his Mom on June 9, 2024, but his legacy will continue to inspire and guide us.

Born to Ken and Robin Macht on March 4, 1980, in Owatonna, MN, Chet burst into the world with a fiery spirit and an unwavering enthusiasm for life. As a proud big brother, he was humbled by his little sister's fierce protection and loyalty. This early lesson prepared him for the joys and challenges of fatherhood, which he cherished with his first two children, Alexandria (Lexi) and Ashton. His marriage to the love of his life, Lindsay Kaplan, brought two more precious gifts to his family: Mason and Tate. His children were the source of his greatest joy and pride.

Throughout his life, Chet found fulfillment in coaching, mentoring, and leading others. He instilled confidence in every athlete who had the privilege of having him as a coach. He loved his friends and family dearly and shared countless memories of outdoor adventure, hunting and fishing with his Dad, and camaraderie with them. Whether riding side-by-sides, camping, or exploring new destinations, Chet lived life to the fullest. As the owner of Court Sports, Chet found his passion and purpose. He radiated joy when discussing his ideas and projects, and his infectious energy inspired those around him.

He is survived by his wife, Lindsay; children Lexi, Ashton, Mason and Tate; father Ken (Donna) Macht; sister Niki (Tim) Cockram; stepbrother Spencer (Dani) Thoren; mother-in-law Ronda (Al) Christenson; father -in-law Kent (Linda) Kaplan; siblings-in-law Nick (Heather) Christenson, Angela (Justin) Ingraham, Kristin (Chris) Holsworth, and Jenna Kaplan; and an abundance of family, friends and athletes.

Chet was preceded in death by his mother, Robin Macht; maternal grandparents, Robert and Alfrieda Eiseman; paternal grandmother, Beverly Macht; and cousin Jason Macht.

As we say goodbye to this remarkable individual, we are reminded of the importance of living life with purpose, passion, and humor. Chet's story teaches us to cherish every moment with loved ones, to pursue our passions with reckless abandon, and to never stop growing and learning. In his memory, we encourage you to: Live life without regret, Chase your dreams with unrelenting enthusiasm, Believe in yourself and others, Find joy in the simple things, Love without condition. Rest in peace, dear Chet. Your legacy will continue to inspire us all.
