Cannon Falls Man Sentenced For Deadly Crash Near Faribault
Faribault, MN (KROC AM News) - A Cannon Falls man who was accused of causing a deadly traffic wreck near Faribault last year has been placed on probation for one year.
Sentenced Thursday was 42-year-old Andrew Stein.
The Minnesota State Patrol says Stein was driving a minivan that crossed the centerline of Highway 60 and collided with a car, killing its driver.
The victim was 27-year-old William Potter of Waterville. Stein suffered life-threatening injuries in the July 10th wreck. He was later charged with careless driving and driving over the centerline. He pleaded guilty to the careless driving charge earlier this year.
Stein was also given a stayed 90-day jail sentence and ordered to pay fines and fees of nearly $600.
