A memorial fundraiser will be happening this Saturday at Reggie's Brewhouse in Owatonna for the family, and memory, of Dan Severson. Dan was killed in a crash in rural Owatonna on July 25th. The event is to help raise funds for expenses to bring Dan peace in "his final resting place."

Those coming to the event are asked to remember Dan and to celebrate his journey, that touched many people. According to Dan's obituary "Dan loved his job as a truck driver for Grounds Masters for 6 years. Dan loved to spend time with his daughter Mariah, ride his motorcycle as well as his snowmobile. He loved both his truck and his car. Dan was a big brother to many and loved by all. He had a smile that lit up the room and laughed with no effort at all."

Although I personally never met Dan, I feel a sense of loss like many of his friends and family do. From all that I read and hear about Dan he seemed like a genuine person and friend to many.

The event runs from 7-9pm at Reggie's this Saturday night, with a $5 beer bash, 50/50 raffles, and meat raffles. A flyer for the event states that donations are encouraged.

T-shirts are also be offered up at Reggie's for pre-order as another way to remember Dan, details on the shirts can be found on Reggie's Brewhouse's Facebook page, which you can find here.

"Ride Hard, Live Free" Dan.
