A Breezy Flag Day, Temps Expected To Hit 90s Midweek
Happy Flag Day! Most flags won't have any issue unfurling as it is expected to be a very breezy day today. A portion of Western Minnesota has a wind advisory today with wind gusts topping 50 mph in places. In Southern Minnesota, we can expect wind gusts of 20-30 mph before a midweek warm-up.
According to the National Weather Service in the Twin Cities expect to have gusty conditions all day today with the winds starting to die down tonight before we start to warm into the 90s Tuesday and Wednesday.
By Wednesday night into Thursday, there is a chance for storms to develop, and beginning on Thursday we will see slightly cooler temps with highs only in the 80s.
The Weather Channel in their 10-day outlook has the storms on Wednesday night through Friday. With the Thursday storms being listed as "contain[ing] strong gusty winds."
