During the holidays I like to get out to at least one holiday-themed event. So far my husband and I have already done two, the European Christmas Market and the Holidazzle. But there are so many different places around Minnesota to check out during the holiday season.

Just based on my bias and events that I know happen in some of these towns, I've put together my list (in no particular order) of the 5 most charming Christmas towns in Minnesota. Some are close to home and others are more of a drive so it depends on how committed you are to checking these out. I'd recommend going to one of these before the season is over!

Stillwater

One of my favorite towns in Minnesota has to be Stillwater. And I think it's one of the best Christmas towns in Minnesota because of two things: they get pretty decked out for the holidays and they have an amazing Christmas shop called Käthe Wohlfahrt with tons of beautiful ornaments and other decor you have to check out.

Mankato

I had to add Mankato to this list because they're home to the longest drive-thru light display in the state! Check out Kiwanis Holiday Lights before Christmas if you can.

Red Wing

Another Minnesota town I love is Red Wing. The downtown area is so cute and to me, it's definitely a spot that could be the setting for a Hallmark Christmas movie.

Duluth

If Duluth wasn't on this list I would have to show myself out of the state of Minnesota. Of course, there's Bentleyville but Duluth is also exactly what you picture when think 'Christmas town'.

Winona

And last but not least I have Winona on my list of charming Christmas towns in Minnesota. My reasoning is the same as Red Wing, I feel like this town is the perfect Christmas movie setting.
