5 Cocktails to Spice Up Your Holiday
Are you looking for a nice refreshing drink this holiday season? Or maybe you have a holiday party planned and you want to wow your guest with an amazing cocktail? Well one of these five Holiday Cocktails are sure to make a statement! Remember to please enjoy these drinks responsibly.
1: Mint Toddy
A spin of the classic Hot Toddy, this one uses hot mint tea instead of plain hot water.
You will need:
2 oz of your favorite brown liquor such as brandy, whiskey or rum
.75 oz honey syrup
.75 tsp allspice dram
3 dashes Angostura bitters
3 oz hot fresh mint tea
Lemon (for garnish)
2: Cranberry Margarita
During the Holiday's, it's almost impossible to not find anything with cranberry in it. This festive twist on the margarita is sure to be a hit! You can do this blended or classic.
You will need:
2 oz cranberry Juice
1 oz fresh lime juice
1.5 oz blanco tequila
.5 oz Cointreau (optional)
.25 oz simple syrup or agave syrup
Fresh cranberries and lime for garnish
3: White Grapefruit Cosmopolitan
Nothing says "fancy" like a good Cosmopolitan, but adding grapefruit will add an amazing flavor! This is one I will definitely need to try.
You will need:
1.5 oz Absolut Ruby Red or any Grapefruit Vodka
.75 oz white cranberry juice
.75 oz lime juice
.5 oz simple syrup
.25 oz Combier liqueur
4: Bourbon Apple
I really enjoy Bourbon and Whiskey so this one is a must have for me! This drink I would say is similar to a Bourbon Smash and is sure to give you a nice warm feeling while enjoying!
You will need:
2 oz bourbon
1 oz ginger syrup
1 oz unfiltered apple juice
1 oz lemon juice
A few cracks of black pepper
5: Holiday Christmas Punch
If you don't want to hand craft cocktails one at a time (I don't blame you), give this festive punch a try! This one you can serve with or with out alcohol for the kiddos to enjoy too!
You will need:
6 cups of Cranberry or Pomegranate Juice
3 cups of Pineapple Juice
1 Tbsp Almond Extract
3 liters of Ginger Ale
12 bag of Cranberries (optional)
2 fresh limes, sliced (optional)
