Northfield, MN (KROC-AM News) - A dozen people, including four children, were injured in a crash involving a semi-truck and six passenger vehicles near Northfield yesterday.

The State Patrol says all of the injuries were non-life threatened and involved the occupants of the passenger vehicles. The injured children ranged in age from 2 to 12-years-old.

The crash occurred just before 8 PM on I-35. The State Patrol says the six passenger vehicles had stopped in a construction zone when the semi-truck smashed into them from behind.

8 of the people injured in the crash, including the 4 children, are from Faribault. The others are from Apple Valley, Owatonna, Le Center, and Laramie Wyoming. The driver of the truck was identified as 58-year-old Murray Wood from Manitoba. He was not hurt.
