10 Things You Should Do This Spring in Minnesota
The past few days have felt like spring... but it might just be Mother Nature teasing us about what to expect later this year. I don't know about you, but I'm ready to be outside enjoying everything our beautiful state has to offer. All we can do is hope that spring will be here soon and plan what we will do when the weather is nice. Paradise Charter Cruise out of the Twin Cities put together a list of things to check out this spring in Minnesota, so I thought I would share a few of those with you! So ... put on those adventure hats and be ready to have some fun.
1. Go to the Minnesota Zoo
There are so many unique animals you can check out at the zoo. It's a great day trip for the kiddos and they may even learn a thing or two.
2. Play Disc golf or actual golf
These two sports are perfect for both spring and summer. They get you outside and active. If you know of any great disc golf courses, let me know! I love me a good game of disc golf in the spring.
3. Go Fishing
Fishing is a year-round sport in Minnesota, but at least in the spring it's a little warmer than winter.
4. Go for a boat ride
We have around 10,000 or 11,000 lakes here so there is plenty of water for us to go boating on.
5. Head to a Twins Game
This is one of my favorite things to do. They have a ton of games this summer and are so much fun no matter your age!
6. Hit a rooftop bar
Some spring days are going to be a tad warm, so cool off with a cold drink at one of the many rooftops we have.
7. Go Test out Fresh Maple syrup
March 28th is the Maple Syrup Festival. I've heard the fresh stuff is really good here! It might be worth the drive.
8. Check out the apple blossoms
These beautiful flowers are fun to go look at. You can find them along the Mississippi river which would make a fun day trip.
9. Head to one of the many State Parks
There are a ton of State Parks in Minnesota. Many of them have waterfalls, hiking trails, and campgrounds. It sounds like the perfect Minnesota weekend.
10. Go Hiking
We have a ton of trails in Southern Minnesota as well as at many of the state parks. It gets you out in nature, which is so fun in the spring with all the colors.
