So You Don’t Know What To Do This Weekend
This is the weekend in June coming up that if you can't find something to do, you really have a problem. We all know of course that Father's Day is Sunday and all of the usual things associated with that. But here is a small list of things that you can do around the area.
- Faribault's Heritage celebration is the June 17-21. It offers a carnival, street dances Friday and Saturday, a medallion hunt (listen for clues starting Wednesday on KDHL and watch for them on the website), garage sales, a free community lunch Friday, classic car show Friday night, the parade Saturday night and more.
- Straight River Days in Medford. With a parade Friday night, a street dance Saturday night and many other activities, there's plenty to do. Power 96 has the annual Roof Top Toss from the Muni starting at 7PM.
- Urland Lutheran Tractor Parade on Sunday. Head to Cannon Falls for its annual line-up of tractors, some of which may be older than you!
So you can't say there is nothing to do in the area this weekend. Make it a great one and, of course, stay up-to-date on all area activities on the radio and right here.
